Ukraine’s ICU buys Ukrainian unit of Russia’s Transgarant

KIEV, Jul 16 (PRIME) -- Ukrainian investment group ICU has bought Transgarant-Ukraine, a subsidiary of Russian railway operator Transgarant, through Cyprus-based offshore Aina Management Ltd, a representative of ICU told PRIME on Monday.

Ukraine’s Antimonopoly Committee approved the deal previously.

Transgarant is a unit of Far Eastern Shipping Company (FESCO) group of companies.

“The sale of Transgarant-Ukraine completely corresponds to a strategy of FESCO that focuses on transportation of container cargoes and implies suspension of other segments of railway business and sales of non-core assets,” a representative of FESCO told PRIME.
